Further Casting Filters for Foundries
Two further filter types for foundries are:
- Round Hole Filters
- Cellular Filters
Technical Specifications of our Round Hole Filters and Cellular Filters
Round Hole Filters (RHF) are pressed, highly stable filters with uniform round holes of Ø 1.7 – 4.5 mm, available in various thicknesses. Round Hole Filters (RHF) can be used in steel, grey iron, ductile iron, heavy metal and aluminium casting. Their dimensional stability results in consistent pouring times. Due to their high stability, our Round Hole Filters (RHF) are best suited of all filter types for large pouring heights.
Cellular Filters (CF), also known as extruded filters, are Casting Filters with square, smooth, continuous holes as well as thin cell walls. Cellular Filters (CF) have the largest free cross-section in relation to the total filter area. However, it should be noted that Cellular Filters (CF) have considerably lower stability than the pressed Round Hole Filters. Fineness is specified in 100, 200 and 300 CSI (cells per square inch).
